Objectives
- Team: Be an integral member of the advisory team and provide investment advice to high to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients
- Relationships: Take primary responsibility for all aspects of a client relationship, working closely to fully understand the financial situation and requirements as a fiduciary
- Understand: Establish deep understanding of client goals, needs and requirements
- Proactivity: Deliver client outcomes that meet or exceed their expectations and address their needs Expertise: Be an expert resource for clients on all wealth management needs
- Education: Continue professional development with classes, workshops, webinars, publications, networks, and associations to remain up to date with the fundamentals of risk management, wealth strategy and investment management
- Collaborate: Work collaboratively with NewEdge Advisors’ Portfolio Management teams
- Support: Support peers in development by sharing ideas and participating in Elevate (and similar) Calls
- Growth: Expand existing client relationships and grow the business through the addition of new client
Responsibilities
- Prioritize the role of being a fiduciary for clients; utilize the firm’s client-centered wealth management philosophy to guide advisory services for individual clients
- Become proficient in how to leverage technology and team resources
- Meet with clients to form an in-depth understanding of objectives and risk tolerance
- Comply with reporting requirements on investment eligibility and suitability
- Monitor client performance to develop and deliver sound investment advice and strategies
- Analyze market performance, investments, and client data to develop strategies for meeting goals
- Review client accounts regularly to determine if adjustments are needed because of personal or financial changes
- Deliver accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations
- Assist clients in the delivery of advanced wealth strategies related to estate, tax and planning related needs
- Interpret data and prepare income projections, financial summaries, and investment performance reports, and update client portfolios accordingly
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance or related field
- Series 65 or Series 66 license required
- Series 6 or 7 preferred
- CFP, CHFC or CPA highly desired
- At least five years of professional experience in wealth management
- Knowledge of the securities, insurance, and mutual fund industries
- Experience working directly with High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients
- Personal integrity and an ability to maintain the confidentiality of company and client information
